Lara is a writer and video editor with a love for creative storytelling. Her craft focuses on creative entrepreneurship, and the intersection between faith and social justice.

JORDI M. CARTER

Artist, Creative Producer, Actor

Jordi M. Carter is a multidisciplinary creative rom South London. He works closely with the Young Vic Theatre as this year’s Taking Part and Creators Program Young Associate.

ERIN JAMES

Photographer & Writer

Erin James is a published photographer & writer, as well as a spoken word poet, radio host, DJ, and founder of Tough Cookie Mag. She looks to inspire others to speak out on difficult and stigmatised subjects.

AFLO

Poet & Spoken Word Artist

AFLO is a Brighton-based spoken word artist, activist and academic who embraces creative expression to disrupt the status quo and inspire social change. AFLO uses poetry as a vehicle to address hard-hitting topics, particularly racism and mental health.

ADE BAMGBALA

Founder of Blacticulate & Podcast Producer

Ade founded Blacticulate a platform that amplifies Black stories and positive actions, through podcast production and accredited workshops, for underrepresented communities. He has worked with Google, BBC, The Economist, UAL, and Ravensbourne University.

AARON GORDON

Actor & Writer

Aaron is an actor-writer from East London.  He has worked with The Pappyshow from the very beginning. Fun and thought provoking storytelling is at the heart of his work.

ELIJAH

Artist, Writer, DJ, Manager, Curator, Builder

Elijah is an electronic music producer and co-founder of influential grime label Butterz described by the Guardian as “one of the genre’s smartest operations”. He has been a fixture in clubs and festivals since 2010.

JACOB V JOYCE

Artist, Illustrator, Workshop Facilitator

Jacob is a multidisciplinary whose practice amplifies historical and nourishes new queer and anti-colonial narratives. They are currently researching the cultural legacies of Black British arts education for a PhD supported by C.R.E.A.M.

EVAN IFEKOYA

Artist, Energy Worker, Community Organiser

|

Evan’s work in community organising, performance, sound, text and video is an extension of their calling as a spiritual practitioner. They view art as a site where resources can be redistributed and renegotiated whilst challenging implicit hierarchies of public and social space.
